The conv, or Converter app was created for developers and designers working on Web-based projects.
This application provides a Web interface where the developer can select a PNG, JPEG, or SVG image and have it automatically converted into a base64 string, ready to be embedded inside a file instead of being loaded via a separate HTTP server request.
The output of each image conversion is provided as an <img> HTML tag and CSS url property, ready to be copy-pasted inside your code.
Besides SVG files, developers can also copy-paste SVG code directly in the conv app and have it transformed to base64 strings as well.
Under the hood, the conv app uses jQuery and the HTML5 canvas utility to convert all image data to base64.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- jQuery
- HTML 5 canvas enabled browser
