pftpd

pftpd (Peter's (anonymous) FTP Daemon) is an open source command-line software, a daemon written from scratch in C and designed to provide a multithreaded and anonymous FTP server.

pftpd is a high performance FTP daemon that tries to be lightweight, uses sendfile() for a boost in performance, includes a built-in "ls" command, and supports user-specific anonymous directories.

Additionally, the software supports both passive and active transfers, supports restartable transfers for Image/Binary and ASCII, supports POSIX-compliant operating systems, including Linux and BSD, and it only supports READ access to files by default.

What is new in this release:

• This version adds a minor byte-order fix in PASV.
