Bone.io is the next step in the evolution of data communications on Web pages. It raises the standard approach of using AJAX for real-time updates, allowing developers to use HTML 5, WebSockets, and pushState notifications instead.
The main reason behind this is the later method's support for real-time bi-directional data exchanges, which basically lets a server send new content to the user, without the client's browser requesting any updates.
As you can imagine this approach improves an app's performance on the client-side and saves server resources by not allocating resources to constantly respond to client queries sent in blindly. Data is moved only when updated, when it changes.
The framework works with both client-side (browsers) and server-side (Node.js) environments.Support for mobile devices is also included.
Bone.io's homepage also serves as a documentation site, so don't forget to check it out.
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- HTML 5 enabled browser
- Node.js for server-side environments
