Tori Forum is a Java portlet that features a very nice looking interface and all the forum-related features you might expect.
It supports classic discussion board layouts, vertical threaded discussions, real-time notifications, in-page navigation, user profiles, avatars, and so on.
If you ever used a forum than you'll probably know your way around Tori in a heartbeat, the system not differing too much from classic forum scripts.
You can manage the forum's content from Liferay's backend, where you can also setup multiple forums on the same domain.
There's built-in support for well-known SEO parameters and there's also integrated Google Analytics support so you can keep track of your users and site traffic.
Some of the other open source technologies that have been included with Tori include Vaadin, Apache log4j, and Apache Derby, just to name a few.
Requirements:
- Liferay Portal 6.2 or higher
