typeahead.js

typeahead.js can take an user's input and match it against a list of preset options, showing possible suggestions in a drop-down.

From these suggestions, the best match will be displayed in shadow text (lightly colored text) right inside the input field itself.

Using basic controls and keyboard shortcuts, typeahead.js can be really useful in replacing drop-down select lists with a more user-friendly input field.

Examples and usage instructions are included with the download package.
