INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Connect your GPS unit to the PC with the serial cable, plugging the serial cable into an available com port on your PC.
2. Turn GPS unit ON in normal operation mode by pressing the PWR key only.
3. Run the Update program (UpdateDE.exe). Select the correct Com Port and Baud Rate*. Click the "Transfer" button.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions, which guide you through updating the application code.
5. Transfer takes anywhere from 2 to 10 minutes, depending on the length of the file you are transferring. When transfer is complete, the unit resets and powers ON normally.
6. Follow the on-screen instructions, which guide you through updating the system code.
7. When transfer of system code is complete, the unit resets and powers on normally, and the Update program exits.
NOTE:
If you experience problems transferring data, try setting baud rate to 9600.
