BioPerl

BioPerl was developed to process biological data in Perl.

It's a tool for exploring Perl's possibilities in the bioinformatics world.

What is new in this release:

• Major Windows support updates
• MAKER update to allow for stricter standard codon table
• Better support for circular sequences
• Fixes for some complex location types
• Address CONTIG bug in GenBank format
• Deobfuscator fixes

What is new in version 1.6.922:

• Address CPAN test failures.
• Added BIOPROJECT support for Genbank files.
• Better regex support for HMMER3 output.

What is new in version 1.6.901:

• Use of AcePerl is deprecated; Ace.pm isn't actively maintained, and modules using Ace will also be deprecated.
• Minor bug fix release.
• Bio::SeqIO::gbxml tests require XML::SAX.
• Address Build.PL issues when DBI is not present.
• Skip gbxml.t and Interpro tests when modules not installed.
• Remove deprecated code for perl 5.14.0 compat.
• Due to schema changes and lack of support for older versions, support for NeXML 0.9 is only (very) partially implemented.
