Ubuntu Manual is a free project that provides Ubuntu users with a complete beginners manual for Ubuntu, featuring comprehensive information on anything you need to know about the world's most popular free operating system.
At first, the book will describe the Ubuntu project, for what tasks you can use it in your day-to-day life, at home, at office, or on the go, as well as how to install the distribution and what hardware components you need.
When reading this book, users will immediately learn how to operate the Unity user interface of the Ubuntu Linux distribution, in order to open and manage applications, search their computer for files and folders, enable Scopes and Lens, as well as to configure various advanced settings.
It will help you learn anything you want, from surfing the web, reading emails, watching movies, editing text files, viewing all sorts of documents and listening to music, to installing additional applications or update/remove existing ones.
In addition, you will also learn how to identify and configure certain hardware components, such as video cards, webcams, scanners, multiple monitor setups, keyboard, mice, printers, external CD/DVD-ROMs, and many other devices.

- This release should have the basics of all 10 chapters in place, in rough draft format. All of the text should be in place and roughly formatted, but images probably won't be. Formatting and Styles will still need to be confirmed and implemented fully in the beta release.
