Aperture user? No more stress, you'll be able to update your computer to Mac OS Catalina and migrate all your photos to Adobe Lightroom, or photo folders. Whether you want to start using a shiny new Cataloging app, or simply want to ensure that all your cataloged photos travel through time safely, Avalanche is the solution. Avalanche will analyse your existing catalogs and safely migrate all your images, complete with metadata, annotations, custom organisation hierarchies (albums, stacks, keywords) to their new home.
Avalanche has been designed to understand the inner workings of many apps used by photographers. As we add support for more apps, we will open new migration paths for your photos. Avalanche currently supports Aperture as a source for photos, and Adobe Lightroom or Folders as a destination. Avalanche uses Machine Learning to automatically adjust the edits you made on a photo in order for it to look exactly the same after migration. Not all adjustments made to your photos require AI. Some, like the geometry adjustments (straighten, crop) are carried across very precisely. Avalanche uses AI for: White balance, Exposure and light, Color and Tint, Highlights and Shadows.
Requirements:
- macOS Catalina
- macOS Mojave
Limitations:
On a trial mode Avalanche for Lr will export the only 100 first masters
