What is new in this release:

• Optimized for Retina Display
  See what you've been missing. Every thing now looks sharper, from icons to text, when you're working on a MacBook Pro with Retina display. But most importantly, the increased pixel density means your high-resolution images will look incredibly vibrant. And the increased level of detail means your editing will be that much more precise.


• Find Photos Faster
  Scan through your photo library as quickly as you shoot them.
• Preview Folders
  Fast track to the contents of your folders, without having to open them. Folders now display up to four thumbnails of their images.
  
• Hierarchical Keywords
  Stay on top of your digital assets by creating keywork hierarchies that span from the general to the very specific. Assign a keyword with the check of a box, for example "Park Guell", and the image automatically gets added to the higher keyword levels you created, "Europe Spain Barcelona." Click on a keyword in the Properties pane or use Quick Search to display all of the files assigned to that keyword. Create as many levels as you need to fully and accurately classify your assests. And when you export your files, your keywords stay embeded.


• Better Black and White
  Take your monochrome images to a whole new level of creativity with the dedicated black and white mode. Make high-quality non-destructive hue-based brightness adjustments and experiment with saturation-based tinting that allows you to add a specific hue back into a black and white image.


• Accelerate Your Adjustments
  Complete non-destructive adjustments on RAW, JPEG and other images, to perfect any photo. See your results applied instantly in real-time, go back and forth between settings, and preview before and after results of any adjustment in full screen. Edit and adjust your photos as much as you want, knowing that you can restore the original source at any time.


• Tune Them Up
  Boost dull colors and underexposed areas. Instantly rescue details that are too light or too dark, without affecting other areas of the image. Adjust the brightness and contrast of different tone bands. And increase saturation while protecting skin tones with the Vibrance slider.

  Apply the power of batch processing to your images including your RAW files. Perfect one image, then copy and past those processing settings to an entire group. Save those batch presets to automattically complete those tasks in a flash on future images. You can even share those presets with others.
