Zepto.js

The framework aims to be very small and to handle most basic DOM manipulation procedures via a jQuery-like API.

Zepto does not coverage the jQuery syntax entirely, but all API methods provided match their jQuery counterparts.

Even if not an official jQuery supported project, before jQuery Mobile was created, Zepto.js was the main recommended solution for using instead of jQuery on mobile platforms.

Currently, to be fair, Zepto.js is still the main jQuery alternative, mainly because jQuery Mobile seems to be a port of jQuery UI to mobile devices, not of the jQuery core.

The default Zepto.js build includes the jQuery Core, Ajax, Event, Form, IE modules.

What is new in this release:

• Fixed automatic parsing of JSON responses in $.get/post.
• Don't falsely detect requests to URLs such as /foo=?a=b to be JSONP requests; the = is part of the request path in this case.
• Uses native Array.isArray if available.
• Updated to Uglify v2, saving ~1.6 kB in minified version.
