Materialize closely follows instructions laid out via the Material Design documentation and provides a simple frontend UI framework for building such projects.
The framework comes with built-in support for responsive layouts and mobile devices, allowing developers to build both desktop and mobile-based applications.
Everything inside Materialize is catered to work the same on mobile and desktop environments, allowing users to easily build symbiotic applications that run on both mediums from the same codebase.
Alongside the framework's core, there are many built-in components that will help developers easily get their project off the ground and have a fully-working interface at their disposal within minutes.
Materialize is actually coded in SASS and compiled to regular CSS, feature that allows developers to easily edit most of its code and have site-wide impact when compiled.
The framework comes with lots of SASS mixins, color and shadow controls, icon font support, and plenty of media queries to play with.
And yes, before you go check out the code and examples, the famous "wave-click" effect is included.

Typography
