Aloha Editor

Aloha Editor is what Web developers call an "inline" or "in-place" WYSIWYG editor.

The editor works via the HTML5 contenteditable feature, and comes with proper support so it can be used across various browsers types and versions without having to worry about HTML5 support.

After installing the editor, if you want to use it you can do so by hovering the mouse over a website section. A formatting toolbar will appear, relevant to the content the user will try to edit.

Since Aloha is considerably smaller than classic WYSIWYG editors, it is very fast to load and save the edited content.

• Bugfixes:
• Wai-lang plugin: when adding a language annotation, the change is not saved correctly in IE9.
• Word contenthandler: When doing copy and paste from word some input was wrongly matched as list input.
• Defining a whitelist for content elements in the aloha settings was not working.

• It is now possible to show the cite form inputs (link, note) in a tab of toolbar. When enabled, a button to remove a cite will be shown inside the floating menu toolbar.

• textcolor-plugin: The Textcolor plugin has had a complete overhaul to improve usability, and to fix bugs when changing color around complex markup.
• BUGFIX:
• core: An IE bug that caused editables to not be activated correctly upon the first mouseclick was resolved. Previously the cursor position inside the editable was not set. The user had to click twice to place the cursor correctly.

• Previously selected blocks are no longer deleted when hitting backspace from inside an Aloha Editor UI.
• This change fixes the behavior of line breaks by preventing paragraphs to be inserted inside editable spans and paragraphs, and improves the editor's robustness against errors when inserting paragraphs.
