RUSS stands for "RedIcon User Support System" and is a PHP script derived from RUMSY, a powerful user management system.
It builds on the RUMSY codebase, adding support for two main features. One is the ticketing management capabilities, and the second is the Q&A module for managing a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs).
As with RUMSY, RUSS comes with an installation wizard to help you set it up on your servers, powerful user registration, login, and management features, a text-based CAPTCHA field, multi-lingual support, a built-in cache system, and a simple to use statistics center.
There's also an admin panel where the tickets, products, categories, and FAQs can be managed, and where overall system settings can easily be changed with ease.
There's support for multiple user levels, as long as support for different ticket status types.
Once a ticket has been added, the admin can answer it and later close it, or assign it to someone else.
The ticket owner can also rate the response he gets from the admins, and provide valuable feedback for each of your team's support staff.
