JABMenu is a convenient and intuitive way to utilize your Address Book data through a system-wide menu. The application provides quick access to your contacts' phone numbers, email, instant messaging, postal addresses, URLs, and notes. Selecting a menu item will trigger an action such as displaying the content in large type, copying it to the clipboard, creating a new email message, dialing the phone (accomplished by running a customizable AppleScript -- requires the use of additional software such as Dialectic), or showing an address on a map using an online mapping service. Beyond the built-in actions, JABMenu supports building your own custom actions through a scripting interface allowing you to personalize the software to best meet your needs.
What is new in this release:
- Added option to include contacts from networked sources (i.e., Exchange and CardDAV servers) in contact submenus -- requires Mac OS X 10.6+.
- Added support for networked sources (i.e., Exchange, CardDAV, & LDAP servers) to the Lookup window -- requires Mac OS X 10.6+.
- Added option to run separate AppleScript for each data item, not just phone numbers.
- Added pre-built AppleScripts to use data items to search Google, Facebook, & Twitter.
- Added option to ignore article prefixes (e.g., "The") when sorting contacts.
- Many minor enhancements & optimizations.
