Libnet

Libnet is an open source library software written in C and designed as a portable framework for low-level packet creation and injection. It can be used to write network applications.

Libnet is an API (Application Programming Interface) that is used in conjunction with the libpcap library to help application developers build and handle network packets.

The library features multiplexing, buffer management, arcane packet header information, byte-ordering, OS-dependent issues, portable packet creation interfaces, and much more.

Libnet also includes packet creation at the link laye and at the IP layer, as well as various complementary and supplementary functionality.
