JS Console provides a visual tool that behaves just like a JavaScript interpreter, but works inside a browser window, like a regular Web app.
Modern browsers provide access to the browser's JavaScript engine console, as a quick way of running custom JS code on a page.
Because not all browsers do this, the JS Console project was born to help developers in debugging JavaScript code inside browsers that don't have a native console.
JS Console comes with iOS support and is great for using inside Web presentations and within code playgrounds.
Features:
- Autocomplete in WebKit desktop browsers
- Remote device debugging using "listen" command (more info)
- Resizable font (yep, biggest issue with Firebug in workshops)
- Shift + up/down for bigger console
- Save history (based on session)
- Add support for loading in a DOM (YQL)
- Permalink to individual executions
Requirements:
- JavaScript enabled on client side
- Node.js
