Forma LMS started out as a fork of the Docebo 4.0.5 Community Edition, one of the last free Docebo versions before the platform moved to a pure premium plan.
Just like the original, Forma LMS is a fantastic LMS continuing to add new features to an award-winning system that has revolutionized Web-based course management.
The LMS is split into multiple areas. There's an installation assistant to help you set it up, an administration panel where the system can be configured, and a frontend section with profile pages.
These profile pages can be for student, teacher or administrator accounts, and each have their own features and access rights.
As you can imagine, the Forma LMS admin is the one responsible for everything on the site, from the courses curricula to user accounts.
The teacher account is put into place to let them manage their courses, while people with student accounts can only sign-up for courses, take quizzes, get grades, and finally graduate to earn a certificate.
Courses can be set-up for classes that take place online or at a real school, Forma LMS letting admins manage the course location and how users sign-up for them.
Courses can be offered for free or under a sign-up fee, Forma LMS also handling payment transactions and video conferencing if needed.
If you need to LMS to work for a wide range of students, you can also take advantage of Forma;s mulit-lingual features.
Languages can be setup when installing the LMS, but they can be added later as well.
There's a Docebo imported to move your older LMS to Forma, while new features can also be added via plugins.
