Offers native notifications and group chat

WhatsApp for Desktop is not just a simple wrapper for WhatsApp Web, as it has been tweaked and optimized from the ground up to integrate perfectly into your favorite operating system, no matter the distribution of GNU/Linux used.

Key features of WhatsApp for Desktop include support for starting and joining group chats, support for sharing photos and videos, support for sharing your current location, support for opening links in the default web browser (in a tab or a new window), as well as native notifications.
