Sigram

Sigram is an open source software project that has been designed to act as a Linux client for the Telegram messenger service. It is modern, attractive and includes state-of-the-art functionality.

Features at a glance

Key features include the ability to send and receive messages, an easy-to-use and beautiful graphical user interface, support for over 200 countries, support file transfers, compatibility with other Telegram clients from different OSes, Limoo integration for viewing images with zoom and pan features, as well as system tray and Appindicator integration.

In addition, it allows users to download photos, mute sound, use emoticons in chats, initialize group chats, add custom backgrounds to chats, forward and delete messages, add or delete users from group chats, and view information about contacts.

Furthermore, the application uses smart and native notifications that display incoming messages, supports touch monitors and animations, displays Telegram system status, as well as sent, seen, online, offline, last seen and typing statuses for the users.

How does it work?

When opening the application for the first time, the user must choose its current location from the list displayed on the left side of the window. After choosing the country, you must add your phone number and click the “Lets Go!” button to start chatting.

Under the hood and supported OSes

The application is written entirely in the C++ programming language and the graphical user interface was built with the modern Qt GUI toolkit. It is available for download as DEB packages for Ubuntu and Debian-based distributions, binary packages that can be used on any 32-bit or 64-bit Linux OSes, as well as a source archive.
