Fasterfox is a Firefox add-on that promises to make your browsing experience much faster, by tweaking some hidden network settings found in Mozilla’s free and extremely popular web browser.
Among its features, we can mention a genuine prefetching mechanism for links, increasing the speed of the browser, ability to tweak many rendering and network settings, including simultaneous connections, cache, pipelining, DNS cache, and more.
A pop-up blocker and a web page load timer are also part of Fasterfox, which is an open source add-on designed to work with Mozilla Firefox 1.5 and later.
