Inspired by Toto and coded using Slim, TextPress is a simple, yet very fast blogging engine for PHP.
TextPress was specifically developed to work around a Git repository, storing content as local text files and using Git's versioning powers to record differences between versions.
The blog engine comes with a pretty sleek theme with the standard package and also supports an archive page, automatically updated with each new blog post.
There's no user interface or administration panel with TextPress, all content being added by creating and editing a text file in the appropriate TextPress folder.
This means developers can write and edit their blog posts via their favorite desktop editor, and then upload and re-build the blogging engine with the newest content.
TextPress is controlled via a config.php file, which can be edited and updated in the same manner.
