Bloginy is built on the Symfony PHP framework and uses a command-line installer to set up both Symfony and the Bloginy core.
While this may be a little difficult for inexperienced developers, once setup Bloginy won't give them any other trouble.
The platform works by allowing users to propose or write news stories and showing them on the frontend, displayed based on category, language, location or tags.
When proposing a story, the user only needs its URL, Bloginy automatically extracting the story's title and excerpt (small description) if available.
Besides just aggregating articles from other sources, with the help of a simple interface and a WYSIWYG editor, users can write up their own posts as well.
For commonly shared news sources, admins can add an entire blog service to the aggregator by telling it what RSS feed to follow for updates.
An administration panel is provided for moderating stories, comments and RSS news sources.
