Bitnami WordPress Stack is an open source and easy-to-install distribution of the WordPress blogging software, as well as of all its dependencies. It includes pre-configured and ready-to-run versions of Apache, PHP and MySQL, in order for you to get a full-featured WordPress blog up and running in minutes, without having to install additional software or pay for expensive services and products.

Installing Bitnami WordPress Stack
To install the Bitnami WordPress Stack on your desktop or laptop computer, you will have to first download the binary installer that corresponds to your computer's architecture from the download section above. Save the RUN file on your home folder, make it executable and run it. The graphical installer will guide you through the installation, asking you a few essential questions about what you want to install WordPress.
Run WordPress on the cloud
Thanks to Bitnami, you can now run your own WordPress blogging platform in the cloud using one of the pre-built images for the Windows Azure or Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers, or it can be used on your web hosting platform. In addition to the cloud images, Bitnami also provides users with virtual images for the Oracle VirtualBox and VMware virtualization software.
Bitnami WordPress Module
Besides the Bitnami WordPress Stack product reviewed here, Bitnami also offers a module that allows you to deploy WordPress on an existing Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) installation. The Bitnami WordPress Module is available on Softoware as a separate download, supporting both 32-bit and 64-bit hardware platforms.
