System Preference for Mac OS X 10.4 or later that allows you to automatically compact and securely delete your Trash. With Trash Compactor you configure a System Preference and then use your Trash normally, the automatic compaction and secure deletion happens in the background using the intervals that you set. With Trash Compactor it is also possible, at any time, to manually: compact your Trash; Extract compacted Trash items; quickly Delete compacted Trash items that are not private; or securely delete compacted Trash items that are private.
