Thumbnail Proximity Effect work by highlighting objects in the proximity of the mouse cursor either by altering their size, visibility levels, rotation, etc..
Practically any CSS styling property can be altered by this effect.
Three working demos are included with the Thumbnail Proximity Effect package, but as stated above, any type of effect can be achieved just by modifying a few CSS settings in the script's behavior.
On the other hand, some of the configurable JavaSript settings include:
The maximum scaling factor for proximity images
The maximum opacity factor for proximity images
The minimum opacity factor for proximity images
