StickyBrain

StickyBrain is a personal productivity application that incorporates a"sticky note" interface. But that's where the similarity to the standard Stickies program ends. StickyBrain is the ultimate information storehouse. It helps users organize all of the miscellaneous information that clutters their lives and desktops.

What is new in this release:

• fixed a problem related to adding StickyBrain/HotKey to the Login items preference under OS X. The software would sometimes quit when the user first installed StickyBrain and it asked whether it should automatically launch at startup time. It also quit when the Preferences dialog was opened and closed. Note: this appears to be caused by a bug in the Login items preference under OS X (which sometimes contains one or more invalid entries).
• fixed a problem that sometimes caused the program to quit unexpectedly after changia
  • added support for double-byte text.
  • international characters now display correctly in the Windows menu and in the titles in the Browser window.
  • when grabbing text from a web browser, the title of the web page and a link back to the page is appended to the text. This feature now works with Internet Explorer, Safari, OmniWeb and Netscape.
  • fixed a bug that allowed Private notes to be viewed using the sticky slider in the Control Palette even if Show Private Items hadn't been selected.
  • when you perform a search in the Sticky Browser window, the search term is highlighted in every matching note. Previously, if you modified the text in the note and saved the file, the search term would again be highlighted (the text selection would jump back to the search term) - fixed.
  • various other improvements.
  ng the category of a sticky or when quitting immediately after changing the category of a sticky.
• the Search field in the Sticky Browser stays selected when switching to and from the Title Insta-Filter mode. This allows the user to start typing immediately without having to first click in the field.
• the Rewrap Paragraphs command (under Text Cleanup) now strips any A¯AA½>A¯AA½ characters that appear at the start of a line (from copied e-mail messages).
• fixed a problem that potentially caused blank/duplicated stickies when moving the Sticky Slider control too quickly.
• fixed a printing problem that sometimes prevented printing a sticky longer than 2 or 3 pages.
• the Sticky Browser will redo the current search when private items are shown/hidden or when new stickies are imported.
• when the Sticky Browser is the topmost window and the user chooses File->Close, sometimes the window beneath the Sticky Browser is closed -- fixed
• the Tile Windows command no longer resizes the windows as they are tiled. To resize the windows for the available space, hold down the option key when choosing the Tile Windows command.
