Protocol Buffers Editor is an open source graphical editor, written in Java, for Protocol Buffers binary data files from Google. It is built on top of the RecordEditor software.
Protocol Buffers Editor lets users view and edit messages, it includes a "proto search" function, which tries to find the proto-definition for a protocaol buffers data file, as well as a message comparison function.
What is new in this release:
- Related screens are now displayed as tabs on the one screen (default). There is still the option to display each view in its own screen.
- Different views can be docked / undocked with each other
- List screens can now have a Record Screen where the current record is displayed.
- Find - option to start from the start (when the end is reached).
- Filter - Group filters are now supported
- Load (from saved Xml) option added to a filter, Sort, Sort Tree and Record-Tree screens
- Daily Tips added to startup
- Various minor enhancements / fixes
