PNGCommentator is a powerful metadata editor for PNG image files. It has batch processing features including support for a number of text macros, and allows you to export metadata as a separate file to be imported to other files later. The editor is clearly laid out and simple to use, supporting all the interface features you would expect, such as copy and paste, and drag and drop.
What is new in this release:
- Added templates, which allow you to add several comments at once. The new Template Editor allows you to manage your templates
- Added new Comment Editor window (cmd-1) which aids the editing of comments with long content
- New macros relating to image properties
- Implemented interface localisation
- Added Japanese localisation
- Due to a bug, colour profiles and some other information was sometimes stripped from an image during saving. This has been fixed PNGCommentator also used ot ignore unknown data chunks. These are now preserved
- Other minor improvements
