Nanvix is an open source and free operating system written in assembly language and designed for educational purposes only. At the moment comprises three projects: the Nanvix kernel, the Nanvix software repository, as well as the Nanvix C library.
The Nanvix kernel has been engineered to be used only on the x86 (32-bit) architectures and features a monolithic kernel architecture, which is designed to be small and simple, the Nanvix software repository contains a collection of software for the Nanvix operating system, and the Nanvix C library is a cross-platform implementation of the standard C library.
