e-TV is a program to which makes possible Personal Internet TV. It consists of two programs: eTVStation (server) and eTVPlayer (client). eTVStation captures channels from a TV capture device and streams them over internet. eTVPlayer displays them anywhere in the world through broadband Internet. To make connection possible between client and server without having to use a static IP address, a unique eTVStation name is used instead of an IP address. Users assign their unique eTVStation names during installation.
Version 1.1.13 adds a new feature to eTVPlayer (client), so that it can use Computer/Host Name to connect to eTVStation (server) within a LAN environment. This feature allows users to access eTVStation directly within a LAN without using WAN IP address and port forwarding.
