Darik's Boot and Nuke

Darik's Boot and Nuke (also known as DBAN) is an open source and self-contained bootable ISO image that securely wipes the hard disk drives (HDD) of most computers.

Darik's Boot and Nuke is designed in such a way that it will automatically and completely delete the contents of any found on the detected/selected hard disk drive(s), which makes it the perfect tool for emergency or bulk data destruction.

DBAN is fast, providing rapid deployment in emergency situations, easy-to-use, just start the computer with DBAN inserted in the CD drive and press the Enter key, and safe, preventing most forensic data recovery techniques.
