CLHep is intended to be a set of HEP-specific foundation and utility classes such as random generators, physics vectors, geometry, and linear algebra.
Some of the files in the examples directory are aimed at showing you how to use HepMC with Pythia. Currently it links to Pythia6.1.
Some platforms require the initialization of pythia PYDATA block data as external this is accomplished by the initpydata() call. If you get pythia initialization errors try commenting in/out the initpydata() call in the MyPythia examples.
Note the Pythia wrappers are not intended to be part of the HepMC package, they are only provided to make the examples run.
What is new in this release:
- GenEvent has a new method, define_units() which can be used when the units in this event do not match the default units. Define_units() does not convert momenta or lenght.
- In addition, fix a bug so that IO_GenEvent::use_input_units() is properly consulted for all input cases.
- fix a typo in cmake/Modules/HepMCVariables.cmake
- add more testing of the Units functionality
What is new in version 2.06.05:
- A minor bug fix release
What is new in version 2.06.03:
- Makes sure the GenParticle copy constructor copies flow.
- It adds a test for the flow copy.
- It fixes small leaks from reading streaming input.
What is new in version 2.06.01:
- This version allows named weights.
- It adds iterator range classes that mimic container functionality.
- Event header lines (excluding E) can now be in arbitrary order.
- The functions Polarization::is_defined() and Polarization::set_undefined() have been added.
- Pythia and Herwig wrappers have been condensed.
- Deprecated ParticleDataTable has been removed.
