Bitnami XOOPS Module

Bitnami XOOPS Module is a free, multi-platform and open-source solution that helps web designers and website administrators to deploy the powerful XOOPS CMS solution on a running Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and Perl) server.

What is XOOPS?

XOOPS is an open-source and free web-based CMS (Content Management System) solution that can be easily deployed as a web portal application, allowing web designers to effortlessly create dynamic websites that include numerous superior features and great, rich content.

Installing Bitnami XOOPS Module

Bitnami XOOPS Module is distributed as a native installer that injects XOOPS in your existing LAMP installation. A successful installation comprises of downloading the respective package for your computer’s architecture from Softoware, run it and follow the on-screen instructions.

Run XOOPS in the cloud with Bitnami

Besides installing Bitnami XOOPS on top of a Bitnami LAMP installation or directly on your computer, it is also possible to deploy it in the cloud using the pre-built cloud images provided by Bitnami and designed for the Amazon EC2 and Windows Azure cloud service provides.

Bitnami XOOPS Stack

In addition to the Bitnami XOOPS Module reviewed here, Bitnami also offers an all-in-one native installer for the XOOPS CMS product, which contains a web server, a database and other requirements needed by XOOPS, called Bitnami XOOPS Stack. It is available on Softoware as a separate download and can be deployed on all mainstream operating systems.
