Bitnami WildFly Module is a free and multi-platform software project that provides users with a module for deploying the WildFly application on top of an existing and healthy Bitnami LAMP installation. It automates the installation of the WildFly application runtime on the Linux, Windows or Mac operating systems.
What is WildFly?
WildFly is am open source, freely distributed, lightweight and flexible application runtime that comprises of ready-to-run MySQL, Apache and Java web technologies. Any web developer can use WildFly to easily develop stunning web apps in a shortest time as possible and without having to install complex software projects or spend a lot of money on expensive and useless products that promise to do a similar task but better.
Installing Bitnami WildFly Module
Both the Bitnami WildFly Stack and Bitnami WildFly Module installers can be natively used under any GNU/Linux distribution, without having to install any third-party software. To install this software on your existing Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) installation, just download the respective binary package that corresponds to your computer’s architecture, run it and follow the instructions provided on the screen. That’s it, you won’t have to install anything else to get a fully functional WildFly solution.
Run WildFly on the cloud
Besides installing WildFly on your computer with the native installers provided by Bitnami, it is also possible to virtualize it using the virtual images for Oracle VirtualBox and VMware virtualization software, as well as the pre-built cloud images for the Windows Azure and Amazon EC2 cloud hosting providers.
The Bitnami WildFly Stack
Besides the Bitnami WildFly Module reviewed here, Bitnami also provides a stack for the WildFly application runtime, which is an all-in-one native installer that helps with the installation and deployment of WildFly and all of its dependencies.
