Bitnami SiteCake Stack is a freely distributed and multiplatform software project that provides an all-in-one, native installer for Linux, Mac OS X and Microsoft Windows platforms that greatly simplifies the installation and hosting of the SiteCake CMS software, as well as all of its runtime dependencies on any computer.
What is SiteCake?
SiteCake is an open source, simple, web-based CMS (Content Management System) application that features drag and drop, and can be used for fast editing. As usual, Bitnami provides users with native graphical installers that works with all GNU/Linux operating systems. To install a standalone version of SiteCake, which includes all of its runtime dependencies, download the package that corresponds to your PC’s hardware architecture, run it and follow the instruction provided on the screen.Run SiteCake on the cloud
Besides installing the SiteCake application on your personal computer, you can also deploy it on the cloud using the pre-built cloud images provided by Bitnami for the Amazon EC2 and Windows Azure cloud hosting providers. Furthermore, you can virtualize SiteCake, simply by using the 64-bit virtual machine images based on the latest LTS (Long Term Support) version of Ubuntu and supporting the VMware ESX, ESXi and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software.The Bitnami SiteCake Module
Bitnami also offers a Bitnami SiteCake Module product, which can be used to deploy the SiteCake application on top of a running and healthy Bitnami LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL and PHP) installation. The Bitnami SiteCake Module is small in size than Bitnami SiteCake Stack as it does not include all the SiteCake’s runtime dependencies, such as Apache, MySQL or PHP.
