Bitnami concrete5 CMS Stack is a multi-platform and free software project that greatly simplifies the installation and hosting of the concrete5 CMS application, as well as of its runtime dependencies, on desktop computers or laptops. Bitnami’s stacks are distributed as native installers for all mainstream operating systems.

What is concrete5 CMS?

concrete5 CMS is an open source and free web-based application designed from the offset to act as a Content Management System that allows you to deploy websites, stores, forums, as well as web applications in minutes. It provides an easy way for them to manage their content and website structure.

Installing Bitnami concrete5 CMS

concrete5 CMS can be deployed using native installers, a virtual appliance, cloud images, modules for an already installed infrastructure stack, as well as a Docker container. The native installers have been created using BitRock’s cross-platform installer tool and are compatible with all GNU/Linux distributions, as well as with the Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems.

To install concrete5 CMS on your personal computer, you will have to first download the binary package that corresponds to your computer’s hardware architecture (32-bit or 64-bit), make it executable, run it and follow the instructions displayed on the screen.

Run concrete5 CMS in the cloud with Bitnami

Bitnami gives users the possibility to run the concrete5 CMS application in the cloud, using its pre-build cloud images for the Amazon EC2 and Windows Azure cloud hosting providers. The cloud images are based on the Ubuntu Linux distribution, but you can also run it on your own hosting platform.

Virtualize concrete5 CMS or use the Docker container

In addition to running concrete5 CMS in the cloud or deploy it on PCs, you can virtualize it on the VMware ESX, ESXi and Oracle VirtualBox virtualization software, thanks to Bitnami’s virtual appliance based on the latest LTS (Long Term Support) release of the world’s most popular free operating system, Ubuntu. A concrete5 CMS Docker container is also available for download on the project's website.
